Requirements:

4+ years of related experience plus degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.

Proven IT management knowledge and experience.

Excellent troubleshooting and communicational skills.

Responsibilities:

In charge of all communication devices on board the vessel.

Direct training of subordinates.

Approve, prepare, monitor, and adjust operational budget.

Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to determine computing needs and system requirements.

Direct daily operations of department and coordinate project activities with other departments.

Evaluate data processing project proposals and assess project feasibility.

Meet with department heads, managers, and supervisors to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.

Analyze workflow and assign or schedule work to meet priorities and goals.

Participate in staffing decisions.

Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports.

Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures, and review project plans.

Develop performance standards and evaluate work in light of established standards.
