Chief Linen Keeper

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate activities of staff engaged in storing linens and wearing apparel.

Assign duties to staff.

Inventory articles in stock such as table linens, towels, bed sheets, and uniforms.

Confer with superintendent to request replacement of articles in short supply.

Count articles to ensure agreement with quantity specified on load sheet.

Resolve customer complaints and modify orders according to size, color, and type of articles specified.

May supervise staff engaged in attaching labels and emblems, repairing, and altering linens and wearing apparel.

May purchase linen supplies.
