Responsibilities:

Accept payment for food, using cash register or adding machine to total check.

Call order to kitchen and pick up and serve order when it is ready.

Serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers in variety of settings, such as take out counter of restaurant or lunchroom.

Brew coffee and tea and fills containers with requested beverages.

Order items to replace stocks.

Serve vegetables, salads, breads, meat, and cocktails, ladle sauces and soups, portion desserts, and fill beverage cups and glasses.

Prepare and serve soft drinks and ice cream dishes such as sundaes using memorized formulas and methods of following directions.

Write items ordered on tickets, total orders, pass orders to cook, and give ticket stubs to customers to identify filled orders.
