Bar Manager



One of the management cruise ship jobs with overall income per month between $2,000-$3,200.

Requirements:

2+ years bar experience.

Excellent knowledge of preparation, garnishing and glassware for all beverages served according to Company's standard.

Also good knowledge of cocktail lists, champagne bar menu and wine menu.

Fluency in English.

Knowledge of U.S.P.H. rules and regulations is important.

Must be profit-oriented.

Wine knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Provide high quality food and beverage service to guests by directing the operation of all food and beverage operations.

Estimate and order bar stuffs, liquors, wines, or other beverages and supplies.

Plan menus, serving arrangements, and other related details.

Ensure efficient and smooth beverage operation according to Company's standards.

Comply with all legal, safety, hygiene and administration procedures.

Maximize revenue and profit margins in his / her designated outlet/s.

Approve and oversee all bar requisitions- bar par levels, inventories, transfers, cocktail parties, time and locations, cost control, opening/closing bar hours and working schedules.

Recommend measures to improve work procedures and staff performance to increase quality of services and job safety.

Observe and evaluate staff and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service.

Supervise and coordinate the preparing and serving of food.

Resolve customer complaints regarding food service.

Initiate personnel actions to ensure proper staffing.

Train staff in proper food preparation and service procedures.

Receive, issue, take inventory of supplies and equipment, and report shortages.

Analyze operational problems and establish controls.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees.

Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas, to ensure efficient service and

conformance to standards.

Record production and operational data on specified forms.

Schedule parties and reservations.

Specify food portions, courses, production, time sequences, work station and equipment arrangements.
