Requirements:
At least 3 years post registration experience with particular emphasis in A&E or acute medicine such as ICU/CCU.
Current US, Canadian or UK nurse license.
May need to show Medical Fitness to DETR Seafarers' Certification Standards.
Possession of a valid accredited ALS/ACLS certificate prior to joining a ship.
Good IT skills and ability to manipulate modern Windows based software.
Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external customers.
Commitment to stay with the company preferably for at least 1 year and a desire to progress to Senior Nurse level if applicable.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Medical Officer(s) in the overall management of the Medical Department and the treatment of the patients.
Assist in the smooth running of morning and evening consultations for the crew and passengers.
Undertake on call duties for emergency visits or admissions.
Provide routine and emergency nursing care for all passengers and crew.
Other ship duties, mainly safety related, are associated with an officer's rank.
Socialize and mix with guests in a courteous manner as required.
