Requirements:
At least 3 years post graduate experience with particular emphasis in A&E or acute
medicine such as ICU/CCU.
May need valid DETR Seafarers' Medical Certification.
Ability to treat outpatient clinic while being 24 hours on call.
Current US, Canadian or UK board certification.
Possession of a valid accredited ALS /ACLS certificate prior to joining a ship.
Good IT skills and ability to manipulate modern Windows based software.
Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external patients.
Commitment to stay with the company preferably for at least 1 year and a desire to progress to Senior Doctor level if applicable.
Responsibilities:
Deal with the overall management of the Medical Department and the treatment of
the passengers.
Required to conduct morning and evening clinics for the crew and be on call at night for emergency visits or admissions.
Other ship duties, mainly safety related, are associated with an officer's rank.
Socialize and mix with guests in a courteous manner as required.
