Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Install rigging, lighting, sound equipment, and scenery.
Erect stages for theatrical, musical, and other entertainment events.
Read stage layout specifications and blueprints and confer with Stage Manager to
determine type and location of props, sets, lighting, scenery, and sound equipment
required for specific event.
Assemble props provided by production company, construct additional scenery, props, and stages.
Attach braces that support scenery frames in upright position.
Connect electrical lines to power source and mixing console, utilizing knowledge of
electrical codes and use of electrician's handtools and power tools.
Position lighting fixtures on and around stage area, clamp light fixtures to supports, connect electrical wiring from fixtures to power source and control panel.
Position sound equipment such as microphones, speakers, and amplifiers on and around stage area.
Pull cables that raise and lower curtains, scenery, and equipment and operate sound
and lighting equipment during rehearsals and performances.
